More than just a team...
Happily married since 2004, playing weddings and special events began as a labor of love.
Before we were STOP GO PARTY, we were two crazy kids waiting tables together in New Albany. That's how we met, that's how we developed chemistry as co-workers, and from there the chemistry grew...
Fun Fact: We did not get to hire a DJ for our own wedding. Due to a fast looming overseas deployment, we had a quickie wedding with a B.B.B. reception. (B.B.B.=Basement, BBQ & Boom Box)
After the deployment came the welcome home bash. We rented sound equipment in order to make it epic! Well, many parties were had that summer, so we conveniently kept forgetting to return it and continued to pay rental fees until the system became ours, free and clear!
Word soon began to spread among our family and friends that we now owned a professional sound system. People we knew started approaching us about playing at their special events- sweet 16s, grad parties, high school reunions, company Christmas parties and, yes, even weddings. We treated every event host with the same level of personal attention and professionalism that we might have expected from our dream wedding DJ, and so our craft was beginning to develop.
Then, in 2012 we found an ad from a regional company looking to hire local DJs on a freelance basis. Thanks to this company we've gained professional experience working weddings and events from rustic outdoor settings to swanky reception halls.
We love working together and hope it really shows! Combining our talents in sound technology & showmanship, along with a shared love of music, we've happily worked throughout Southern Indiana & Louisville Metro since 2009.

Hey everyone. I'm Jody. One of the best wins in my life is turning a hobby into a profession that helps others enjoy life.
For me, it all started while attending my small town high school. Running the sound equipment for dances, pep-rallies, and theater productions triggered my desire for DJing.
Later down the road Summer and I experienced a hard choice between having a quick impromptu wedding, or waiting until I returned from overseas deployment. We chose the first and although it was great, we really missed being able to plan the whole sh-bang with a professional DJ. Summer likes to say we're now living vicariously through our clients, and we are doing more and more each year.
My passion has always been in technology, especially when it comes to music. Whether it's bonfires, barn dances, fancy weddings, manning the church sound board or installing a new radio and TV station at a high school, I can never seem to get away from working as an audio engineer.
I've always enjoyed DJing, whether we have full floor of dancers or people enjoying there dinner and tapping there foot to the beat with out noticing.
My job at any of our events is to ensure sound quality and appropriate volume of music that fits any mood needed. I will always do my best to bring the most joy out of your event.

Greetings! In real life, my name is Summer. I've dabbled in entertainment since I was a kid, mostly as an actor or chorus girl. Then, towards the end of my college career I started flexing my muscles in set work, stage managing and a little bit of directing.
I love occasionally acting in community theatre and visiting the odd karaoke bar. However, I get the most joy from gathering my friends and family together for a good time. So, naturally, being a DJ/MC is the best way to scratch all those itches!
Plus I get to do it all with Jody, the person I work with the best and love the most.
I love how music creates ambience, sets moods, elevates energy, ignites nostalgia...and doing what we do gives me the perfect excuse to add to our personal music library!
What's my favorite kind of music? That's a tough one. If you look through my collection you'll find a little bit of everything. You'll also find a lot of curated playlists with names like GIRLS NIGHT OUT, FEEL GOOD MIX, HEADBANGERS & BOOTY DROPPERS, VICTORY, and HIT THE BOOKS.
When I bring Lady Gwendala out to play, she brings a youthful attitude, an old soul, eclectic tastes in music, AND "JUST A LITTLE TOUCH OF STAR QUALITY" (thank you, Andrew Lloyd Webber)!
These are the things that shape my style as a DJ/MC.
When we're playing a gig (especially a wedding), my function is to take the spotlight and divert it onto YOU, my wonderful clients! Because when we're on the job, YOU'RE THE STAR!
Our Original Stop Light
(You are missed, old friend.)
On some obscure country road, somewhere in Ohio, we snagged this decommissioned stop light, 'American Picker' style, with the intention of incorporating it into our, once primitive, lighting setup. It soon became the icon of our original brand. Sadly, our beloved icon was stolen, but no one can steal our memories.
